USCG Medevacs Hoegh Trotter’s Crewman off Florida

A 27-year-old man has been medevacked from the Post-Panamax vehicles carrier Hoegh Trotter due to concussion-like symptoms, the US Coast Guard informed.

Coast Guard Sector Miami received a call in the afternoon hours, informing that a crewmember aboard the Hoegh Trotter was suffering from concussion-like symptoms.

A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew met the Norwegian-flagged vessel while the unit was some 14 miles east of Lake Worth Inlet, Florida.

The crewman was transported to the station where emergency medical services were waiting, and afterwards taken to a medical center in West Palm Beach.

According to AIS data provided by Marine Traffic, Hoegh Trotter is currently sailing to the US port of Jacksonville, where it is scheduled to arrive this week.
