Najveći karbonski putnički katamaran na svijetu doplovio u Split
Nakon višednevne plovidbe iz Norveške uz Gat svetog Petra u splitskoj luci se privezao najveći karbonski putnički katamaran na svijetu.
Krilo Carbo atrakcija je kakvu Jadran još nije vidio, a kako i bi kada je riječ o najvećem karbonskom putničkom katamaranu na svijetu. Koji će, nadaju se njegovi vlasnici, za nekoliko tjedana zauzeti svoje mjesto na jednoj od brzih pruga do nekog od dalmatinskih ili kvarnerskih otoka. Na državi je, naime, da raspiše natječaj, a kada se to dogodi, ovom preplanulom ljepotanu teško da će neko drugo plovilo moći parirati.
"Teško je u ovom trenutku reći koju ćemo liniju voziti, no konkurirat ćemo za pruge Split - Jelsa, Split - Lastovo, Split - Vis i Rijeka - Mali Lošinj" izjavio je za Slobodnu Dalmaciju Ivica Tomić, glava stare jeseničke pomorske obitelji, čiji je sin Luka prvi kapetan ovog broda.
Gradnja karbonskoga katamarana za Tomiće je bila posao stoljeća. Proteklih su mjeseci nestrpljivo čekali kada će im se iz norveškoga brodogradilišta Brodrene Aa ukazati bijeli dim, odnosno kada će se njihovoj floti, koju su do sada činili atraktivni, ali ipak vremešni dvotrupci Krilo i Krilo Jet, pridružiti i 40 metara čistoga luksuza.
U kožnim aviosjedalima, na dvije palube, može se smjestiti 350 putnika, a čitav posao gradnje broda teškog 90 tona bio je vrijedan 7,5 milijuna eura.
"Netko bi možda za taj novac kupio sedam brodova. No, mi smo se odlučili za dvotrupac koji je zbog izradbenog materijala i oblika trupa, te propulzije toliko dinamičan da ćemo samo na uštedi goriva u odnosu na sadašnju potrošnju moći vraćati rate kredita" tvrdi Tomić čija je obitelj još 1989. godine u Apatinu dala izgraditi i danas legendarni jedrenjak Kapetan Luka.
Najvažnije, zaključuje Tomić, s ovim katamaranom njegova će tvrtka spremno dočekati ulazak u Europsku uniju, te će ne samo biti u stanju odbiti napade strane konkurencije na hrvatskoj obali Jadrana, nego će, ako im to bude cilj, ravnopravno konkurirati i za linije u inozemstvu.
‘Mrcina’ od 90 tona
‘Krilo Carbo’ katamaran je dug 40,5 metara, širok 10,7 metara, a težak 90 tona. Gaz mu je 1,5 metara, postiže brzinu od 30 čvorova, a pokreću ga dva MTU-ova stroja s fiksnim propelerima od ukupno 2880 kilovata.
“Sendvič” od karbonskih vlakana, ističe Ivica Tomić, tri do četiri puta je jači od stakloplastike te je i do 40 posto lakši od tradicionalnih materijala što ovaj brod zbog smanjene potrošnje goriva čini idealnim za komercijalnu plovidbu.
