VIKING expands shipowner agreements

Leading global marine safety equipment manufacturer VIKING Life-Saving Equipment, which pioneered the concept of fixed price servicing packages for safety equipment, is now building even stronger capabilities into its well-accepted Shipowner Agreements.

VIKING’s Shipowner Agreements were the first to provide global, all-in-one servicing with a choice of flexible options. Designed to be comprehensive yet customizable, these safety equipment service offerings have been rapidly adopted by the shipping industry. Key to the success is a variety of fixed-price payment plans aimed at ensuring shipowners know exactly what they can expect and how much it will cost.

Among the additions are new fixed-price agreements for marine fire equipment as well as lifeboats, hooks and davits. The number of servicing stations offering fixed price service agreements is constantly expanding. VIKING CEO Henrik Uhd Christensen is confident the expanded agreements will be welcomed by the company’s customers.

“Expanding our Shipowner Agreements offers shipowners even greater flexibility. No other safety equipment provider can provide the same breadth of purchase, servicing and exchange options – or the same global resources for marine safety equipment. It’s a clear message to our customers that once you’ve signed up with VIKING, we’ll make sure your servicing agreement capabilities move with your business.”
