POSITION SUMMARY / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Stands engine watch as instructed by the Staff Chief - Engineer and Engineer of the Watch. - Maintain an efficient and alert watch in engine room during assigned period. - During watch duty, continuously supervise Machinery Spaces and promptly report malfunctioning and abnormal conditions to Engineer of the Watch. - Dedicate particular attention to bilge condition, upon request of Engineer of the Watch execute cleaning and maintenance under supervision. - Ensure that during the watch duty, all Engineering Spaces have been duly inspected and abnormal situations promptly reported. - Do not voluntarily operate any machine without previous authorization and supervision of Engineer of the Watch. - Assist to duty motormen. - Assists with general maintenance of the ship including cleaning, painting and repairs. - Any spillage or cause of pollution is promptly reported and adequately controlled and cleaned. - Implement all safe working practices in all tasks, including proper use of watertight doors, handling of chemical products and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Any additional duties as directed by the Staff Chief Engineer. EDUCATION: - The Oiler qualifications shall conform to all International and National conventions and regulations as required by the Flag State, and by the STCW. - Experience on vessels in equivalent position. - Knowledge of the Company SMS. - Skills including but not limited to team work and engine room experience ROTATION: 36 Weeks Onboard & 9 Weeks Off

This position requires the theoretical back ground and functional ability of the Chief Refrigeration Engineer, serving as a technical consultant to the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in addition to other duties. This position prepares junior refrigeration engineers to advance to the level of Chief Refrigeration Engineer. Responsibilites: - RCL places the highest value on the environment, and all employees shall do the same. Those assigned to this position shall work with superiors and subordinates to understand and comply with the company's environmental policies and be committed to safeguard the environment. He shall directly and immediately inform his immediate superior if any environmental system does not function properly; - Ensure that all ventilation, cooling, freezing equipment, ice rink cooling equipment (where applicable) and all air conditioning equipment is kept in full and proper working condition; - Ensure that all equipment are operated at maximum efficiency at all time to reduce energy and fuel cost; - Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in training of the personnel in his division in safety procedures and assigned duties; - Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the coordination and control of the HVAC budget and accounts, spare parts and work orders; - Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the proper maintenance and function of all fire dampers, shut off dampers, laundry lint/wax filters and Gaylord hood cleaning systems for all ventilation ducts; - Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in proper maintenance and repair of all refrigerators, walk in coolers, cold water drinking fountains, mini-bar (with refrigerant gas), ice making machines; - Additional routines and work assigned by supervisor.
