1st Navigational Officer

For our ship teams we are looking for flexible, open minded and passionate 1st Navigation Officer for river Maine, Danube, and Rhine

Responsibilities:
Practicing GCCL valuesRelieving Captain in his absence and taking command if the Captain is incapacitated
Ensuring safe navigation during his watch
Maintaining and upkeeping of the ship according to existing laws and regulations
Ensuring that cleanliness and condition of the sundeck, as well as pollution prevention measures, are being upheld
Deploying and supervising nautical crewMaintaining and upkeeping of the safety and firefighting equipment
Providing safety training and familiarizationIssuing ‘Permits to Work” as required
Cooperating with hospitality department as well as company’s regional offices
Any other duties advised by Nautical and Technical Superintendent or Captain

Skills/Qualifications:
Holding Rhine license and preferable Danube as well
Sufficient experience in the field of desired position, preferably on the river cruise ship
Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills
Fluency in English and German
