He shall directly and immediately inform his immediate superior if any environmental system does not function properly; - Ensure that all ventilation, cooling, freezing equipment, ice rink cooling equipment (where applicable) and all air conditioning equipment is kept in full and proper working condition; - Ensure that all equipment are operated at maximum efficiency at all time to reduce energy and fuel cost; - Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in training of the personnel in his division in safety procedures and assigned duties; - Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the coordination and control of the HVAC budget and accounts, spare parts and work orders; - Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the proper maintenance and function of all fire dampers, shut off dampers, laundry lint/wax filters and Gaylord hood cleaning systems for all ventilation ducts; - Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in proper maintenance and repair of all refrigerators, walk in coolers, cold water drinking fountains, mini-bar (with refrigerant gas), ice making machines; - Additional routines and work assigned by supervisor.
