The Motorship’s Gas Fuelled Ships Conference will return for its 7th year, on the 16-18 November at the Grand Elysee Hotel, Hamburg, Germany. The conference, in association with DNV GL, will offer a technical perspective on the innovation and investment driving the uptake of LNG, methanol and other low-flashpoint fuels in the commercial shipping sector.

This year’s welcome reception will be hosted by Blohm & Voss at the Hafen-Klub and will provide ample opportunity for networking prior to the two day technical, informative and knowledge based conference which will include technical visits on day three giving delegates access to real life operations of current gas fuelled vessels, and supply plants.

Companies such as Anglo-Eastern, Naval Progetti, Svitzer Australia, Damen Shipyards, NSK Ship Design and more will attend and last year 92% of delegates at the event stated that the conference programme ‘met’ or ‘exceeded’ their expectations and this year is set to do the same.

The conference will feature 30 presentations, including more than 10 case studies from shipyards, designers and classification societies. Delegates will hear first-hand from operators, designers and builders about innovative approaches to the many challenges of designing LNG-fuelled vessels and landmark LNG, methanol and other low-flashpoint fuelled projects around the world. Sessions will include:

Gas Fuelled Ships 2016 will continue the legacy of the previous six conferences with the continued support it receives from major players in the industry connected with shipping and the use of gas as a maritime fuel.
