Registration is now live for the 10th annual Border Security conference
The agenda has been released and registration is now open for SMi’s 10th annual Border Security conference which will take place on 15-16 February 2017 in Rome, Italy.
With the rise of cross border terrorism, the current migrant crisis growing in the Mediterranean and across Europe, Brexit raising questions over the security of the UK's border and the uncertainty involved with heightened security around the US Border, this event will respond to extremely topical issues.
Border Security 2017 will bring together senior military personnel and industry experts who will explore the strategies and technologies required to develop next generation capability in this vital area of national defence.
The 2017 line-up includes: Austrian Army, Italian Coast Guard, French Customs, European Maritime Safety Agency, US Citizenship and Immigration Services, Finnish Customs, Office of Department of Homeland Security (DHS), NATO, Guardia di Finanza, International Organisation for Migration (IOM), European Union Satellite Center, SITA and many more...
Benefits of attending:
• Hear global perspectives on the developing threats at national borders
• Meet and network with senior military decision makers as well as technological experts in the Border Security Community
• Hear from military and border control experts on how they are effectively managing borders across Europe and the rest of the World in response to the migrant crisis as well as to the threat of cross-border terrorism
• Explore the technical solutions in R&D, production and implementation and how these are being effectively utilised to enhance border security
PLUS A PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP
Running alongside the conference will be a pre-conference workshop entitled ‘Biometrics for Border Management and Security’, which will be led by Max Snijder, CEO of the European Biometrics Group,
European Association for Biometrics.
There is currently an early bird offer available; book by 31st October to save £400 off the conference price. Register at www.bordersec.com/maritimeconnector
