“International Baltic Services Ltd” (IBS) is a Crewing Agency which was established in 1993 to provide manning services of Russian seaman for commercial vessels of various classes and displacement tonnage.

 
“International Baltic Services Ltd” (IBS) is a Crewing Agency which was established in 1993 to provide manning services of Russian seaman for commercial vessels of various classes and displacement tonnage.
 
IBS operates in the port of St.Petersburg. Being the biggest Russian seaport on the Baltic Sea, St. Petersburg has the necessary administrative bodies to issue all appropriate and internationally acknowledged documents to the Russian citizens to work abroad on foreign vessels.
 
IBS has a pool of available on the spot candidates – highly qualified licensed seafarers for a number of years employed with Baltic, Murmansk, Northern, North Western and other Russian and foreign shipping companies. Company’s computer data bank contains list of seafarers (more than 3,000 persons). The candidates for employment with foreign shipping companies are subject to a very strict selection securing, a careful study of diplomas/certificates (through the Marine Administration of Russian Federation) which conforming educational background, study of references and recommendations describing professional abilities.
 
IBS holds the necessary state licenses and permissions and have all necessary facilities to attend formalities with regard to recruitment, visas, training, traveling and all other related to crew activities. 
 
IBS has ISO 9002 ISO 9002-94 ISO 9004-2 quality system, which is confirmed by Russian Ministry of Transport.
 
More that 15 years extensive experience of IBS Ltd in the crewing activity, allows us to offer efficient and reliable service in the following:
 
- providing the vessels with skilled Officers with relevant experience on bulkers, Ro-Ro, general cargo, container and other types of vessels in accordance with Ship Owner or Ship Manager request;
- processing immigration and visa formalities;
- preparing and processing all documents for Panamanian, Cyprian, Maltese, Liberian and any others National Licenses;
- registration of the seaman’s passport and crew list for  joining  vessel;
- processing contract formalities;
- consultation and assistance of seamen on questions of official registration of papers (the seaman’s passport, diplomas, STCW certificates, etc.)
