Crew Management

UNEQUALLED CREW MANAGEMENT
Columbia recognizes the importance of human resources in maintaining quality operations on board the vessels it manages. In order to provide qualified and motivated seafarers it maintains its own crewing officers in eight different countries world wide and has appointed high professional agents in a further four countries. It also recognizes that training is an essential factor to ensure that a pool of qualified crew is maintained and prepared for future demands. Columbia has allocated resources not only to train cadets as future officers but also provides training to its present sea going staff through external and in-house training centers.
It has presently around 8,000 seafarers of different nationalities on board with another 3,500 seafarers on leave. A further 300 cadets join its training program every year to be prepared for their future role as officers.
What separates Columbia's services from others is that it is not just a crewing agency; it operates as a 'Total Crew Management' company.

COMPLETE CREW MANAGEMENT
Our crew management package is designed to relieve the owner of any workload connected with the manning of vessels. Columbia will perform the following services:
    • crew recruitment and procedures for joining ship and repatriating crew
